Who can check out materials from the Barker Library?
Students and RBMS staff can borrow materials.
When may students come to the library?
Students will visit the library with their literacy class every other week. Students may also visit the library to check out materials in the morning, after they check in with their homeroom teacher. The library is also open to students during recess, after they have finished eating. All students will also have access to eBooks.
How many books may be checked out?
Students may check out 2 books at a time. They may also have a class novel checked out in addition to their 2 books.
How long is the loan period?
The loan period for materials is 2 weeks.
What happens if a book is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair while it is checked out to me?
In the above cases, patrons are expected to pay the replacement cost of the lost or damaged item. Patrons may also replace the item, however they will not be issued a refund should they locate the missing materials.
