Student Application
For the 2019 - 2020 school year, the BHS Robotics Club will have four Robotics teams:
(1) All-Girls Robotics Team - 9th - 12th Grade
(4) Co-Ed Robotics Team - 9th - 12th Grade
Each team will have a minimum of 4 members.
Application is open to all 2019/2020 BHS 9th - 12th Grade students. By filling out and submitting the following application, students and parents agree that the following requirements are expected of the BHS Robotics Club:
9th - 12th Grade students who are in good academic standing, are eligible for the BHS Robotics Club. (Grades will be checked at the start of the 2018/2019 school year.)
Students will be chosen based on the quality of their application, experience, and recommendation from a teacher.
Students should attend regular club meetings and must attend all tournaments. Since club meetings are held during 4.2 FLEX, it is advised that students attend as long as their in good academic standing.
An annual registration fee of $100 will be collected and used for:

Club Meetings & Practices will take place:
Every Tuesday during 4.2 FLEX (Meetings)
Twice a week from 4 - 6 PM (Practices) - teams select two or more days to attend practice.
We will meet in the Robotics Room (Room 339).
The first club meeting will be announced on the BHS Announcements. Students will be pulled for 4.2 FLEX every other week by Robotics Coach.
In order to maintain your spot in the club, student must:
Consistently attend club meetings & practices.
Attend ALL Robotics Competitions.
Maintain passing grades in all classes.
Not receive any major disciplinary referrals. (More than 3 may lose their place on the robotics team.)
Use care when using robotics equipment.
Provide own transportation home from club practices. (Please ensure that your child is picked up no later than 6:15 PM.)
General Club Rules:
Club members must abide by the Student Code of Conduct as outlined in the BHS Student Handbook.
Club members must be in good academic standing in order to maintain your spot on the Robotics Team.
Club members must attend meetings regularly in order to participate in any club sponsored field trips, tournaments or other events.
Club members must pay the club participation fee. This fee is used to help offset the cost of tournament entry fees and purchase supplies as well as the club T-Shirts.
Club members must wear club T-Shirt to all club sponsored field trips, tournaments and other events.
Application Process:
1. Submit an application for review.
All items must be completed and received by the application deadline (August 30, 2019).

(Note: The teacher you enter in the application will receive a link to complete your recommendation.)
Upon review of all applications and teacher recommendations, selected students will be notified via email. Please check your school email to see if you have made the 2018/2019 BHS Robotics Club.
If you are selected, remember to pay the club participation fee. This fee is used for team registration, tournament entry, transportation, supplies and t-shirts.
