Welcome to the Benton Community Library Website!
Mission Statement
The Benton Community library will give students and staff the needed resources to be ethical and effective users of information. The love for reading will be fostered and grown while supporting the needs of the school curriculum.
Library Hours
Each school library will be open between 7:30 and 3:30
In order for students to be in the library, there must be an adult present.
If each individual school has a designated area where students gather before the school day starts, students must get permission from the supervising adult in that area to go to the library.
If you need to work with the teacher librarian, please schedule a time with the library associate in each of the centers.
Suggested Books
Do you have a suggestion for the library? Please fill out this form to give us an idea of what you would like to see in our libraries. Even though we would love to add every book that is suggested, we may not be able to fulfill all suggestions. We want to make sure our libraries have a diverse collection that is appropriate for the age level at each center.
About the Benton Community School District
Benton Community School District's geographic footprint covers 342 square miles and includes the communities of Atkins, Blairstown, Elberon, Keystone, Newhall, Norway, Van Horne, and Watkins. Our school district embraces the best of each of our community's rich traditions and celebrations, and combines those strengths as the foundation and character of our school district. We boast both the benefits of a small town atmosphere with the rich advantages of being located in a prosperous area of Iowa, and we call the benefits and core values we embody, THE BOBCAT WAY!
