Introducing The Badger Meal Deals
K-12 Breakfast Badger Meal Deal
Students can choose what they take for breakfast, but to get a Badger Meal Deal they need a total of 3-5 points. They can only take one Entree and they MUST take either one fruit or one juice.
The Badger Meal Deal is a complete meal and qualifies for a free or reduced meal. Students will use a point system to make sure that the items they are selecting at breakfast and lunch will qualify as a complete meal.
If a student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they will need to take a complete Badger Meal Deal to qualify for free or reduced price. If they don't take a complete Badger Meal Deal they will be charged for a la carte items.

Bennington Public Schools is required to make reasonable accommodations for any student who has special dietary needs due to a disability, as defined by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, or life-threatening reaction (anaphylaxis) to specific foods when supported by a Medical Statement form completed by a state licensed prescribing medical professional. In addition, the parent is required to complete the Request for Meal Accommodation Form. The completed forms should be returned to Tracy Watsabaugh at the District Office. Once we have the completed forms, we will follow the physician-prescribed diet. The forms will only need to be completed once, unless there are changes to the student's health. In that case, a new form should be completed by the physician to reflect the student's current medical and nutritional needs.
The only milk substitutions allowed by USDA are (1) Lactose-free milk or (2) a non-dairy beverage with a nutrient profile equivalent to milk as specified in federal regulations. The district is not required to provide a specific substitution (such as a particular brand name), but offer a reasonable modification that effectively accommodates your child’s needs. We have selected the Kikkoman Pearl Organic Soymilk Smart Creamy Vanilla as our milk substitute for district use. All Bennington students who request a milk substitution will receive this product unless they are allergic to soy.
