"Recollection Booth" is a 23-minute experimental podcast delivered in the form of an immersive audio installation, subverting our common experiences of listening through site-specific experimentation with sound material. The piece was created and installed by sound practitioner, musician, and scholar Celina Einem. The installation opened from May 24th to May 28th on the Newman Court balcony at Bennington College. An evocation of vignettes and statements, Recollection Booth implores the listener to think about the role of nostalgia and reminiscence.
Created with support from the Advanced Projects in Sound Practices and CAPA Advanced Workshop courses.
