He is the principal author of landmark legislation, including the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act (RA 11904), which aims to position the Philippines as ASEAN’s leading creative economy, and the Cultural Mapping Law (RA 11961), which safeguards the nation’s rich heritage. As Chairperson of the Special Committee on Creative Industries, he continues to advocate for the Filipino creative sector, ensuring its growth and recognition on both local and global stages.
Director III of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Bureau of Competitive Development. He oversees several Creative Industries Development programs, Digital Workforce initiatives, and the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) program. He was part of the high-level mission to the UK on Creative Industries in May this year. Last August, he completed a fellowship on creative and cultural tourism on Jeju Island under the United Nations Institute of Training and Research.
