This poster's color scheme is black and white because it depicts melancholy and despair. Because this is about bullying, the elements picked are depending on the context. As we can observe from the silhouette, a girl is crying, implying that she requires assistance to escape out of her circumstances. Depression is the most common condition among bullied people, as it is the first thing that ruins the victims' mental health. She is pleading with the bullies to stop, as seen by the stop written coding on the left side of the girl, and she is crying because she feels helpless and miserable. Bullying can also force victims to commit suicide, which is why there is a rope shadow, and finally, blood is portrayed to symbolize a tragic scenario.
HELP
Cyberbullying is one of the controversial topics that our society is dealing with these days. People became more interested in social media as a result of the pandemic, which has both positive and negative consequences. There are many incidents of cyberbullying nowadays, and it is sometimes disregarded because people believe that everything is just for entertainment. This poster aims to raise awareness for those who use social media to be accountable for their actions and decisions by emphasizing that bullying can lead to despair and mental health problems. Because someone's life can be wrecked and sidetracked with a single click.
Bullied people needs our help. Allow this film to represent their sentiments and emotions. Be responsible.
Victim blaming is extremely common these days, particularly on social media. People are pointing out this type of issue — rape ― to victims for the reasons that it is caused of women's clothing, consumption of alcohol, and minorities.
By making this statement tee, we are raising awareness about the fact that rape occurs because of rapists; there are no other reasons for a person to be raped, just rapists. People's mindsets should be changed first, not the erroneous reasoning that blamers allege.
Victims are seeking justice, not notoriety. We must stop blaming the victim! Because survivors deserve our sympathy, not our scrutiny.
The front shirt design, which includes written information and media, emphasizes the notion that we are attempting to perceive—that rape is rape, done by the rapist. There are design principles and elements that have been used in our front design: the emphasis was shown by putting a red underline (red indicates danger) in the issue of rape; the alignment of words was performed correctly because it shows balance as it is aligned in the middle; capitalization was used to emphasize the problem and the meaning that we are raising; the typeface that we picked was important since it allowed us to make a very strong message, whereas thinner typefaces may not be as effective and may convey different ideas.
The back shirt design, on the other hand, which comprises visual information and media, was created to make our advocacy more comprehensible. Because this is a visual where anything can be easily discerned, the visual concepts and designs aided us in giving more power to our message. First, we constructed a pie chart to convey our idea that there are no other reasons why women are raped besides the rapist (as you can see in our pie chart, there is only one color, and according to the legend, this color represents the rapists; thus, cause of rape is the rapists.), second, because it is balanced and asymmetrical, the development of our elements such as the pie chart itself, the legend, and the alignment were performed successfully. The organization is also taken into account, as is the consistency of margins.
To summarize, the principles and aspects were executed precisely in accordance with the application of the visual media and information lesson. The shirt is light in color because the central emphasis of our statement shirts is on the message that is explained in our title’s description.
(I didn't put any explanation because this is just an extra statement t-shirt that aims to demonstrate our additional thought and advocacy for women.)
