New ABC Chart
Knowing letter names and letter sounds are the foundation to becoming a successful reader. We practice this chart at school and you can practice at home too! A multi-sensory approach helps to make connections within our brains, so we encourage the kids to make the motions with their hands while saying the letter name, key word, and letter sound!

Knowing these words by heart builds confidence in growing readers. Please practice these words at home with your child. Flash cards, writing words in chalk, rainbow spell (write in 3 colors), spell with alphabet magnets, write in sand or sugar, bingo, or matching games are all various ways that students could practice their sight words.
