Technology in the Middle School

Academic Communication

In the middle school, we will use several different tools to communicate with families this year regarding academics:

Middle School Web Portal - This website with general middle school information and links to the tools below. Our hope is to provide a useful resource for all the main information our middle school families may need.
Alma - Our student information system, including gradebook and report cards. (Also emergency notifications.)
Studyo - Our new student digital planner.
Classroom Websites - A place you can go to access class calendars and other resources.

Emergency Notification

Alma will be used as our Emergency Notification System. You can choose to receive either an automated phone message or text message.
To set your preference, login and click on your initials in the upper right corner and select “Notification Preferences.”
There you can choose which method of notification you wish to receive.
Note: Benchmark is not currently using the Attendance Notification option.

Important

Please take a moment to click on “My Info,” which you can find in the upper right corner by clicking on your initials, and check that all information is correct. If anything needs to be changed, contact the Main Office.

Note: The first step (student inviting parents) will be done by students in class. Look for the email.

How to Access

Students will send an email invite. Follow the prompts in the invite.
If you have not received the email, ask your child to resend it.

Initial login: All new-to-Benchmark parents should receive an email with instructions for initial login.
All current Benchmark parents should already have an active login/password.
