BELVIDERE hosted the very first event of the year: Mindnastics this past October in our BHS Media Center. This was an event for 4th graders from various schools in Warren County. We had a strong turnout this year with just shy of 70 4th-grade students. Students were paired up into groups of 6 or 7 at a table and were given creative problem-solving activities. They would rotate to 11 tables in all. This was a wonderful chance to see students not only use their intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking but also show their teamwork skills. It was a wonderful event to host. Schools had wonderful feedback and enjoyed themselves! Looking forward to hosting again next year.
This "Jeopardy Style" game was for 5th and 6th Grade students from various schools in Warren County. There was again, a large turnout. This was held at Harmony Township School on in December. Although our students did not make it to the finals, they did very well and enjoyed the night! We are very proud of our BES students. They represented our school well!
Our small group of 2nd graders who are particularly strong in math gathered at the historic Ruthorford Hall in Allamuchy for a fun-filled day of Math Stations. The kids had so much fun!
It was yet another fun-filled math event at Rutherford Hall! Our 3rd grade students had a really fun day with various math games including PIG! It was a great day for all!
