This week, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of VE Day in style. All pupils and staff made an incredible effort to dress up, and parents beautifully decorated the playground with bunting. The entire school enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea party, complete with music, 400 children dancing 'The Lambeth Dance' in pairs, performance by Isabella and delicious treats. The photos and videos truly don't do it justice, but with the sun shining on us, we had the most incredible afternoon.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Attanasio and our brilliant team for all their hard work.
This week, our Year 5 pupils have been learning how to travel safely by bike in our local community.
After taking part in Bikeability, children become more confident and better at responding to risks. As a result, more children choose to cycle to school, which helps to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Cycling allows children to get more out of their time in the classroom by increasing attention span and engagement. Healthier habits lead to better attendance and improved academic results.
Last week, our Year 3 and Year 4 took part in a football tournament with other local schools, showcasing their talent and skills.
Despite the hot temperatures, our teams battled hard, scoring goals and winning an amazing 10 out of 12 games!
The children were awarded medals for their outstanding teamwork and incredible performances.
Thank you Miss Bradbury for organising the teams and taking our pupils to represent Belswains in the tournaments!
Congratulations to all the pupils who received a certificate in assembly, staff have noticed you doing something above and beyond!
