At the end of the summer term, Miss Sears and Mrs C Jones (Sparrows) will be leaving us. We wish them all the best in their new endeavors and thank them both for all their hard work.
From September we welcome new Teachers, Mrs Gaze and Mrs Vassiliou. Miss Cutler is a familiar face to many of you already within Sparrows and Robins and we're delighted that she is also transitioning to our Teacher team. All three have already, or will be meeting their classes before the end of term.

We are pleased to share the class allocations for September 2025.
Due to ongoing recruitment, support staff will be confirmed shortly. We’ll be in touch shortly to share these updates and introduce the staff ahead of the new academic year.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Year 3 Jays had a fantastic time presenting their class assembly today!
The children are incredibly proud of what they achieved and put in lots of hard work during our rehearsals. Our assembly explored how the Romans lived and highlighted key moments in Roman history. A definite highlight was the Roman Numerals song, which the children were especially excited to perform. They delivered a brilliant performance and truly enjoyed every moment!
During the academic years 2025-2026, Belswains school council would like to venture into the community to help support with any local charity work. Ideally, this would be within walking distance from the school. If any parents have any links to any places, eg places of worship or residential care homes, that would benefit from the children helping, then please either let myself or the office know. Thank you.
Mrs Hood - Year 6 Teacher
We have received from Herts a hot weather warning for over the weekend and into next week. Please ensure you send your child(ren) into school with sun cream applied, a sun hat and as usual, a water bottle. Within school, we will continue to encourage all children to remain hydrated, wear their hats and seek shade. As with the last recent heat wave, we will make daily judgments on whether pupils have lunch time and PE lessons outside. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please take some time to talk to your children about road safety. This is something we do discuss in school, following the 'Stop, Look, Listen, Think' principle, but it is great to model the safe crossing of roads outside of school when you are with them. A member of the public contacted us this week to raise concern about children on scooters crossing the road between parked cars. We do not know that it was pupils from Belswains, but we want to ensure we pass this information on to keep our pupils as safe as possible. There are some great resources for you to look at from the Government THINK! website: THINK! – Road safety
The NSPCC has a fantastic website that offers advice, support and activities for parents,/carers and children. Please have a look at their website for more information including information and videos on their 'Talk PANTS' campaign
