What is the opportunity?
Working with individuals and small groups to prepare them for the Spelling/Translation Bees; helping in extra sessions short term for various languages competitions; putting together displays to showcase achievements in the languages department and helping out in classes at Key Stage 3.

Helping to support sessions and increase the profile of DofE at school. The Duke of Edinburgh award provide a training scheme for 2 ambassadors per school each year.

What is the opportunity?
A forest school practitioner will run a Forest School through the ACCESS garden. The peer mentors will help to support small groups of key stage 3 and 4 students to develop their forestry skills and to maintain health and safety around the correct use of equipment and the activities on offer.
What skills will you develop?
Leadership and communication skills. They will also be able to develop their knowledge around forest schools/forestry skills.
When is it needed?
The sessions will run on Thursdays and the peer mentors will support the sessions on a rota (to fit in with their availability). Training will be provided and so the volunteers will need to be available for this. Start date TBC.

What is the opportunity?
Work with younger students who are building a robot to enter the First Tech competition. This is an international competition where students build a team, develop a robot to complete specific tasks and compete against other schools.
You might be able to help with building the robot, helping students prepare for competition, coding etc
