Are you a psychology instructor? Have you ever wanted to show your students examples of published research that has specific characteristics? Have you conducted agonizing database searches for hours, losing precious time binge-watching your favorite TV show, only to come up empty-handed?
Hello, this project was created to help you. Because we are also you.
We have combed through short empirical papers meant for a more general audience and identified whether they contain certain characteristics (e.g. graphs, t-tests). As her 2023-2024 sabbatical project, Dr. Alexis Grosofsky created instructor resources. For each source, she created a document with an APA-style citation, factual questions, discussion questions, and tagged characteristics.
You can find the tagged characteristics in the table below to easily identify papers from different categories with different characteristics. We have included a downloadable spreadsheet that you can sort (linked above, and also here). This sheet includes hyperlinks to the instructor resource documents.
