Belmont Academy will continue to provide learning opportunities that will aim to support the academic goals of our programs. Teachers are working hard to create and share learning opportunities that will meet student needs in an engaging way while working at home. While we understand that learning in this format is new to families we ask that you do as much as possible to ensure students continue to grow academically throughout the rest of the school year.
For Kindergarten families, per state guidelines, we will be tracking student participation and attendance. See below for weekly schedule.
One live classroom meeting through Zoom (teachers will send an invite)
One pre-recorded classroom meeting that can be viewed at your convenience
One office hour time block (½ hour) where you can meet with your child’s teacher through Zoom to ask for suggestions, clarify learning activities or discuss any issues you may be having regarding your child’s learning
Teachers will be providing three learning opportunities through their ClassDojo page. They will include:
Read aloud lesson
Phonics lesson
Math lesson
Paper packets are available to supplement the online learning. You can print from the attachment below or pick up from BACS on Mondays/Thursdays during meal pick up. If you do not have a device or internet, you can also have your child complete the packet below and text the finished packet to your child’s teacher for his/her participation.
