WELCOME!
My name is Jodie Koehl and I am the counselor at West End Elementary. I was born and raised in Brenham and graduated from BHS in 2004. I attended Texas A&M and received my undergraduate degree in 2008. I taught 2nd grade and 4th grade before I recieved my master's degree from Prairie View A&M. I became a school counselor in 2012. I currently live in Carmine with my husband, Heath, and my daughters, Kinsley and Avery. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, cooking and spending time with my family. I have always believed that it takes a village to raise our children and I am truly blessed to be a part of that village for our West End families.

My goal is that each child at West End feels loved and valued while learning to be kind, strong, resilient. We utilize the PurposeFULL People program from Character Strong to guide regular lessons on character development. It is my personal belief that strong character is the foundation of strong communities and I am honored to be part of growing the next generation.
