THE BRAHMA 20

Bellville is an incredibly special place with amazing kids, parents, staff, and community. Bellville ISD aims to be a reflection of the values of our families and community and wants to ensure that in our rapidly changing world, we hold tight to the character traits and habits that equip us to be caring and capable contributors to our friendships, families, work teams, and community.

The Brahma 20 are behaviors BISD aims to intentionally teach our students to ensure each is equipped with the personal attributes and soft skills needed for success now and in the future.

In effort to promote partnership with our parents and community, we are sharing our district created Brahma 20 resources here for parents to access at any time. If there is ever a question about a Brahma 20 trait or how it's being taught in our classrooms, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher, counselor, principal, or our superintendent Dr. Poenitzsch at npoenitzsch@bellvillebrahmas.org

The Brahma 20 instructional delivery is designed so that students learn 1-2 Brahma 20 traits each nine weeks in grades PK-5 and then review these traits in grades 6-12. For our first year of implementation, students in grades 6-12 will get introductory instruction (rather than review).
