These steps resolve most Chromebook issues.
👉 Complete them in the order listed.

If none of the steps work, report the issue following your school’s regular Chromebook repair/reporting procedures.
✅ Step 1: Charger & Outlet
Use your district-issued charger.
Make sure it’s firmly plugged into both the Chromebook and the wall outlet.
Try a different outlet if needed.
✅ Step 2: Check All Power Connections
Remove any power strips or surge protectors.
Connect the AC power adapter directly into the wall outlet.
✅ Step 3: Inspect the AC Power Adapter
Look for any physical damage to the cord or adapter brick.
Make sure the cable is firmly attached to both the adapter brick and the Chromebook.
✅ Step 4: Verify the Outlet Works
Test the outlet by plugging in something else, like a lamp or corded drill.
✅ Step 5: Charging Indicator Light
Look for the light near the charging port.
Amber/Orange = charging, Green = fully charged.
No light? → Possible charger issue. Light? → Possible screen issue.

Press and hold the Refresh key and the Power button
When your Chromebook starts up, release the Refresh key
✅ Step 7: Give it Time
Leave the Chromebook plugged in for at least 30 minutes before turning it back on.
