Recommended Grade Levels: 10

Prerequisite: Must complete summer project. Final grade of 90 in English I or 80 in English I Pre-AP. Must have passed 9^th Grade English I STAAR EOC. Students who do not meet criteria may appeal to the AP Committee to be considered for enrollment. Must maintain six weeks average of 70 or above. Failing grade will result in automatic removal to the equivalent regular course.

Description: Designed to prepare task-oriented, proficient readers for English III and IV Advanced Placement courses. Includes content immersion, fast pace, and performance assessed at the analysis and synthesis levels. Fees for some books.
