GENERAL LIBRARY HOURS

7:45 am - 3:45 pm

Occasionally the library closes for special events.  If your student needs something during a closure, please contact the front office and we will arrange a plan to help.

Library Guidelines

• Students visit the library with their ELAR class on a regular rotation.

• During library visits we have lessons on information literacy and digital citizenship skills in addition to checking out books.

• Books are checked out for approximately 2 weeks.

• You can check out 2 books at a time.

• The expectation is to return or re-check your books when you visit with your class.

• If you finish your books early, you can visit the library to check in your books and get new books during free time with teacher permission.  We ask that you respect time that classes have the library booked for a lesson.  If a class is in the library, please come back at a later time to check out/renew books.

• Always bring your Chromebook for library class time.

• The BJHS Library does not charge daily overdue fines.  We ask that students that are still reading their books to renew them when they visit with their ELAR class.  This tells me that the student is still reading and the book is not lost.  

• If a student cannot find a library item that has been checked out, or if it is damaged, the student is responsible for the replacement cost.  Failure to return or pay for outstanding items may result in the loss of school priveledges.
