Mrs. Hulstine's Class: Dyslexia Therapy
The Dyslexia class remediates dyslexia by using simultaneous multi-sensory, phonics-based instruction. Our Take Flight curriculum addresses the underlying cause of dyslexia (phonological processing) and the primary characteristics of dyslexia (problems with decoding, fluency, and spelling). I will also be incorporating the Reading Horizons dyslexia program for spelling and writing this year.

About me
I have been working with dyslexia students for 25 years. I'm married and have two kids, two cats, and one dog. I play the flute on the worship team at church and I love to read! I love helping students grow in their love of reading as well.
Learning Ally is a free resource for dyslexic students in Texas! TEA is funding site licenses for all public schools in Texas. Learning Ally has audiobooks for students with reading problems. They have picture books, novels, and textbooks for all ages. Any student who struggles with reading is eligible. https://learningally.org/
