About Mr. Wakeley

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Zachary Wakeley and I'm excited to work with your teacher and child this year.

Experience:

I started my teaching career right here in the Bellmawr Public School District! When I first joined the Bell Oak's Community, I was a sixth grade ELA and SS teachers. In 2018, I transitioned to the fifth grade team where I had the opportunity to teach ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies for four year. Now, I'm eager to start my role as the district ELA coach.

Educational Philosophy:

When it comes to education, I believe that every child has the ability to succeed. Education is not a one-size-fits all approach and should be differentiated based on each students' needs. The best part about being an educator is having the opportunity to provide students with the individualized support they deserve to be successful. Being apart of a students' roadmap to success is absolutely rewarding. It is amazing to see the growth each student makes every school year.

• Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (Rowan University)

• Bachelor of Arts in History (Rowan University)

• Masters in Education Leadership (Montclair State University)

• Supervisor Certification K to 12

• Principal Certification K to 12

Personal:

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my dog Maggie. She is a one year old shorkie who is full of energy and excitement. During my free time, I like to see my family and friends, read a book, travel, and watch TV. Some of my favorite books to read have to do with teaching, but I am a big fan of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.
