Philosophy of Teaching:
Being a World Language teacher provides me with a unique opportunity to broaden students’ views, giving students tools to shape a future where global awareness will impact all aspects of a community, near and far. When students successfully learn a target language and the intercultural communication needed to be part of today’s social, environmental, and economic changing world it creates a more flexible, accepting and inclusive global citizen. I believe that exposing students to cultures different from their own, while encouraging them to identify similarities and differences that shape each culture, will give them an academic advantage thereby strengthening problem solving, deduction and strategies useful in other subject areas ○
