About Me

I'm Dan Simicich, 7th & 8th grade social studies teacher at Bell Oaks Middle School.

As a social studies teacher, I want my classroom to be a welcoming and respectful place where every student feels valued. I use engaging lessons to help students understand history, become informed citizens, and learn about different cultures and perspectives. I encourage students to be curious, open-minded, and respectful of what makes each person unique. My goal is to help students become a better version of themselves each day by growing in confidence, empathy, and maturity.

What We Are Learning!

7th Grade Social Studies

For the 26-27 school year, we are excited to start using our new curriculum from TCI called "History Alive! The United States Through Industrialism." We will cover early American colonies, the American Revolution, the founding and development of our nation, westward expansion, and the Civil War era.

8th Grade Social Studies

TCI's "Civics Alive! Foundations and Functions" program, covers government foundations and functions, citizenship and civic participation, political processes and issues, and the role of geography and economics in civic life.
