About Me

I graduated from Glassboro State College and received my Bachelor of Arts degree as Teacher of the Handicapped. In 1994 my teaching career began at Bell Oaks school as a self contained special education teacher for students in grades 6th - 8th. In addition to teaching I was the advisors of multiple clubs and activities such as peer mentors, Renaissance, and tutoring. In 2005 I received my Master's Degree in School Leadership from Wilmington College and obtained my certification as a school principal. After teaching for 11 years I became the Director of Special Services for the Bellmawr School District.

As the Director of Special Services for the Bellmawr School District, my responsibilities include the supervision of all the special education programs, services, and personnel and conducting teacher evaluations. Other responsibilities include overseeing evaluations, testing, and eligibility of all students referred to the Child Study Team, and ensuring the district remains in compliance with special education services. I also oversee the school counseling department, paraprofessionals and our school choice programs along with assisting with district wide scheduling.

On a personal note I am a proud mom of two wonderful daughters and come from a large family of six siblings. I enjoy sports, engaging in physical fitness activities and traveling with family and friends.

I am dedicated to providing all students an excellent education in the least restrictive environment, supporting parents and collaborating with teachers about their instructional practices. My philosophy in education and life is to work hard, be responsible and organized and be a positive influence for others.
