Ms. McKeown

I attended Montclair State University, and was a part of their 5 year dual-certification program. I received my BA in Family Science and Human Development with a concentration in School Settings. I then received my MA in Education with both my K-6 and special education certifications.
After I completed my MA program, I taught as a long-term substitute for the 2023-2024 school year. During this time I taught as a special education teacher in 1st grade, kindergarten, and preschool. I am looking forward to teaching 3rd grade at Bellmawr Park!
My teaching philosophy is to meet students where they are by focusing on their strengths and abilities. My goal is to provide a nurturing environment where students use their skills to make positive contributions to their classroom and communities.
I grew up in North Jersey and moved to the South Jersey area in the summer of 2023. I have loved getting to explore my new surroundings and create memories in my new home. My whole family is up north, so I visit them often!
I have a variety of hobbies! Some things I enjoy are baking, exercising, traveling, going on walks, playing video games, reading and spending time with my family and friends. I have a large blended family that I am very close with!
