Rules and Requirements

1.     Sneakers are always required. Please make sure you know what days you have P.E.

2.     The following jewelry is NOT allowed to be worn during physical education.

a.  Watches, bracelets, necklaces, hoop earrings, anklets, body jewelry.

3.     The ONLY JEWLERY ALLOWED are stud earrings and medical bracelets.

4.     A student’s final grade for each marking period will be based on a summary of four grades: preparation, participation, team cooperation and knowledge and rules.  Points can be deducted anytime the teacher feels necessary.

5.     Rough play, undue noise, and loafing are not permitted in the locker room.

6.     Proper care and use of equipment are the responsibility of the students.

7.     All injuries, regardless of how minor, must be reported immediately to the Physical Education teachers, before reporting to the school nurse.

8.     No student will be excused from participating in Physical Education unless a written request from a parent or guardian is presented to the school nurse at the beginning of the school day. Students missing more than 2 periods of physical education must present a doctor’s note to the school nurse, stating the injury, and the exact time the student is to be excused.

9.     Students are encouraged to place belongings in their assigned locker with a lock of their own, however, if the lock is not removed from the locker at the end of the class period it will be removed by administration for security purposes.

10.  No one is permitted in the locker room or gym unless a teacher is present.

11.  Students are to enter through the locker doors and exit through the main gym doors.

12.  Lockers, locker room and lavatory are to be kept neat by the students.

13.  NO CELL PHONES are permitted in the gym/locker room at any time for any reason.

14.  All valuables are to be kept in your locker.  Students are reminded not to bring any valuable items to gym class, as school is not responsible for these items.

15.  Respect yourself, respect others, and respect our school.

16.  Use of inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
