Welcome to 7th and 8th grade Science! My name is Candace Brady and I will be your child’s science teacher this year. This will be my 19th year teaching in the Bellmawr School District. I am also the Bell Oaks Science Club Advisor, which was a great success last year. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to connect with many of your wonderful children over the years.
I received my undergraduate degree in Biology and my master’s degree in Environmental Science. I am also highly qualified to teach science and social studies in the state of New Jersey.
My educational philosophy mirrors that of our state's science education mission. "All students will possess an understanding of scientific concepts and processes required for personal decision-making, participation in civic life, and preparation for careers in STEM fields (for those that chose)." I often reflect on a quote from Albert Einstein, "education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think".
