I am very excited to be teaching Algebra and 8th grade Math this year. This is my fourth year teaching at Bell Oaks. As a TCNJ graduate, I am excited to be coming back to New Jersey after spending a few years teaching at a high school right outside of Washington D.C as well as teaching at down at the shore. I have taught all types of math courses ranging from Algebra I to Honors Pre-Calculus.
My philosophy as a teacher is to create a inclusive environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and engage with problem-solving and collaborating with their classmates. Giving math real world context is a great way to get students interested in the subject, so I look forward to getting to know each of my students and what interests them.
Outside of the classroom, you might find me at a Philadelphia Eagles game or playing some pick up soccer at the local park. After spending my summers on the beach, I try to find any excuse to visit throughout the rest of the year. There you might find me walking my dog, Bean (pictured to the left), on the boardwalk.
