Bell Oaks Middle Music Program
Philosophy
Through my instruction, I am determined to implant a lifelong love for music by creating an environment where students can learn all the different aspects of music. In the classroom, I plan to encourage students to use listening materials, instruments, engage in body percussion, and involve themselves in becoming functional vocal singers.
"Research shows that at-least some musical education has a positive impact on social and cognitive development of children. And these effects are long lasting – better hearing, better motor skills, improved memory, better verbal and literacy skills."
– Alan Harvey, Musician and Neuroscientist
Meet Your Music Teacher
Ms. Fogg
I graduated from Temple University: College of Music and Dance in December, in 2022. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. During my time at Temple University, I sought opportunity to apprentice at a local woodwind and brass shop, where I now work part-time fixing instruments. I am very excited to be a new member of your school community! Together, we can do amazing things with music!
