Tuesday, February 24: Continue on conversation on the Crusades. Read aloud Lesson 4, pages 685-690. When finished, students will have Guided Reading Worksheet that goes with the reading. This assignment is due tomorrow at the beginning of class!
Wednesday, February 25: Collect homework from last night. Students will then partner up to complete reading on MOD 19, Lesson 5, Christianity and Medieval Society, pages 691-697; When finished, students will complete Exit Slip that goes along with the lesson. This is due tomorrow at the beginning of class.
Thursday, February 26: Political and Social Change. Read/Listen together pages 698-706. IF we don't finish, students will be responsible to finish the reading!

Wednesday, February 18: Introduction to the Crusades. Students will be working in small groups to complete the Crusades stations. There are 6 stations, in which we will break into 6 groups. Each group will have a set amount of time to complete the readings, as well as the follow-up questions that are included. KEEP THESE FOR TOMORROW! NO HOMEWORK!
Thursday, February 19: Continue on with Crusades stations. Students will get as much done in class that they can. IF they finish, this can be turned in at the end of class. IF they are NOT finished, it will be their assignment to get it finished for homework! DUE BY THE END OF CLASS TOMORROW!

Monday, January 5: Byzantine Empire anticipation guide. Have students complete this individually and store in their folders. Begin discussion on the Byzantine Empire. No homework tonight!
Tuesday, January 6: Students will begin reading passage on the Byzantine Empire. When finished, hand out text evidence worksheet. Students will answer the questions and find the appropriate evidence located in the reading. When finished, go over answers as a large group. Hand out document for labeling/coloring appropriately based on the information gathered. This is NOT homework!
Wednesday, January 7: Continue with yesterday's activity. Students should be finishing up their labeling/coloring document. This is due at the end of the period. IF they don't finish, they should finish for homework tonight!
Thursday, January 8: Vocabulary review over Byzantine Empire. Students will be completing vocabulary crossword over this section. Due tomorrow at the beginning of class!

Tuesday, November 4: Begin by collecting last night's homework and review over the vocabulary terms. THEN, The Roman Republic "Rules". Together, as a large group, we will be reviewing/reading over the Roman Rules. Students will access these on Google Classroom. While working, students will be completing together the worksheet that goes with it. This will be for a participation grade, so participation is necessary!

Tuesday, September 9: Classroom discussion w/short video. Hand out Ancient Greece map with key. Students will begin filling out bodies of water, city-states, and physical features. We will continue this tomorrow.

The seventh grade year is an integrated study of world history, beginning with ancient Greece and continuing through global exploration. All four social studies strands are used to illustrate how historic events are shaped by geographic, social, cultural, economic and political factors. Students develop their understanding of how ideas and events from the past have shaped the world today.
