Monday, October 5: Begin by handing out laminate papers of the Minoans and the Mycenaeans. Students will work with a partner to read and complete the attached worksheet. This is to be completed before class tomorrow!
Tuesday, October 6: Begin by checking over the Minoan and Mycenean worksheet. Once finished, begin Profiling a "Polis". As a large group students will be reading and discussing handout on what a polis is. While we are working on this, students will be filling out separate handout (fill in blank) on polis. This is homework. Here are the answers to the worksheet.
Wednesday, October 7: Collect homework. Chapter 3 vocabulary crossword. Try to finish before we leave. There is no homework, and I am not taking this for a grade....but it would be in your best interest to finish for Monday!

Monday, April 27: Collect vocabulary crosswords from students who have not turned them in. States and Capitals PRE-QUIZ. When students are done with the pre quiz, explain the upcoming unit. Students will then be making flash cards for the 50 states. WILL BE CHECKED ON WEDNESDAY!
Tuesday, April 28: Students will be continuing on with their flash cards. Students will have some time to practice learning the 50 states/capitals. Homework is to have the flashcards done for tomorrow!
Wednesday, April 29: Students will have their flash cards checked! Once finished, have the student get into groups of 5/6 people, depending on class. Each group will be given 50 state packets to complete. This will be due next Tuesday!

Tuesday, November 4: Begin by collecting last night's homework and review over the vocabulary terms. THEN, The Roman Republic "Rules". Together, as a large group, we will be reviewing/reading over the Roman Rules. Students will access these on Google Classroom. While working, students will be completing together the worksheet that goes with it. This will be for a participation grade, so participation is necessary!

Monday, September 29: Hand out readings on Tyranny and Democracy. Read these 2 papers together as large group; hand out notes for students to fill out together. Students will keep these until I COLLECT THEM ON WEDNESDAY! NO HOMEWORK!
Tuesday, September 30: Hand out worksheet/comic strip for students. Students will be completing these to describe and caption describing the 4 governments (Monarchy, Oligarchy, Tyranny, Democracy) This is HOMEWORK! DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS TOMORROW!
Wednesday, October 1: Collect homework from last night AS WELL AS LOOK OVER 4 GOVERNMENT PAPERS. Begin discussion on ATHENS and SPARTA! We will listen to the reading from the book together, pages 272-279.
Thursday, October 2: Powerpoint with discussion. When finished, students will have a GOOGLE FORM to complete for homework. This is due tomorrow!

Monday, September 22: Profiling a "Polis". As a large group students will be reading and discussing handout on what a polis is. While we are working on this, students will be filling out separate handout (fill in blank) on polis. This is homework. Due Tomorrow!!
Tuesday, September 23: Collect homework from last night. Go over answers as large group. When finished, students will be RE-READING pages 259-261 in the book. There will be a few questions on Google Forms for them to complete before tomorrow!
Wednesday, September 24: Review over Profiling a "Polis" from last nights Google Form. Begin discussion on Greek Government. Handout first paper on "Monarchy". Read with discussion. Students will be filling out attached worksheet as we move forward through the governments. KEEP THIS UNTIL I ASK FOR IT!

**DELAY**Monday, September 15: Hand back last Friday's Current Events activity. On the overhead, go over each paper with direction as to what was good/bad.
Tuesday, September 16: Students will continue onward with our Isolation/Farming/Growth Stations. These are due at the beginning of class tomorrow! If you don't finish in class, you are responsible to finish on your own for homework! Due Tomorrow at the beginning of class! When finished, have students read individually in the book, pages 256-261. Have this read for tomorrow's discussion.
**DELAY**Wednesday, September 17: Collect homework from yesterday! Go over answers together.
Thursday, September 18:. Hand out MINOANS/ MYCENAEANS notes with fill in. Students will be using this to write on as we read together and discuss the document provided. When finished, students will complete worksheet over Minoans/Mycenaeans for homework. This is due at the beginning of class tomorrow!

Monday, September 8: Introduction to Ancient Greece Unit! Begin by discussing the Greek Alphabet. Students will be creating name tags to display on their desks. If not finished in class, this is HOMEWORK!
Tuesday, September 9: Classroom discussion w/short video. Hand out Ancient Greece map with key. Students will begin filling out bodies of water, city-states, and physical features. We will continue this tomorrow.
Wednesday, September 10: Continue with Ancient Greece Map. Allow 10-15 minutes to finish labeling maps. Students may then begin coloring maps. Maps due tomorrow!
Thursday, September 11: Collect Maps. Begin Ancient Greece Isolation/Farming/Growth Stations. Students will fill out statement sheets while progressing. This will continue MONDAY!
Friday, September 12: Current Events Activity.

The seventh grade year is an integrated study of world history, beginning with ancient Greece and continuing through global exploration. All four social studies strands are used to illustrate how historic events are shaped by geographic, social, cultural, economic and political factors. Students develop their understanding of how ideas and events from the past have shaped the world today.
