Belleville District #118 is currently accepting applications for a School Board Member. If you are interested in applying for the Belleville Public School District #118 school board vacancy, please submit a letter of interest and resume by noon on Friday, February 4, 2022 to Belleville Public School District #118, c/o Board Secretary, 105 West “A” Street, Belleville, IL 62220 or via email to

The appointment will fill the unexpired term until April, 2023 at which time the seats will be filled by election. The Board of Education will screen the applicants and decide which individuals will be interviewed.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2022/2023 school year for Belleville Public School District #118 will be held the weeks of February 22 through February 25, 2022. and March 28 through April 1, 2022

Registration will include those children who will be five years of age on or before September 1 and who reside within the school district. Parents are requested to bring the certified copy of the child’s birth certificate at the time of registration along with three proofs of residence. Physical and immunization forms will be distributed at this time.

Parents may register their children by calling the school to make an appointment from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. In addition to this week, each elementary school will conduct a night registration in conjunction with the March or April PTA meetings. Parents should contact their school office for the exact time and date.

Our district proudly serves a majority of the residents residing in the City of Belleville and encompasses more than twenty seven square miles. Our enrollment is approximately 3600 students in Pre-school through Eighth Grade. Our students and staff come from a wide range of socio-economic, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds, which enriches our community.

We are proud of the numerous national, state, and local achievements of our students and staff. Our students regularly represent the District at a very high level by their academic, athletic, and fine arts accomplishments. Our standardized test scores consistently exceed state averages. Both state and national organizations have recognized our staff and our educational programs as exceptional!
