Belleville Community Health Improvement Project

About

The Belleville Community Health Improvement Project (BCHIP) was developed in 1988 by the Belleville Family Medical Clinic/UW Department of Family Medicine. BCHIP original goal was to approach community health issues in a systematic and comprehensive manner. BCHIP was originally comprised of physicians from Belleville Clinic and residents of the Belleville area. Now, in 2019 BCHIP is comprised of several local community members, school administration and a county social worker.

Involvement

BCHIP sponsors post-prom activities, provides scholarships to High School graduates, produces the Community Calendar, and runs the Belleville Community Assistance Program (BCAP)
