Actors are expected to attend all rehearsals that they are called for. We will NOT have full cast every day unless necessary. If you are going to miss a rehearsal you are called for, you must notify staff before rehearsal. We will take attendance every day, and any unexcused absences are grounds for removal from the production. Tardiness will also count towards unexcused absences (2 tardies = 1 unexcused absences). It is up to the directors' discretion to dismiss an actor at any time due to absences/tardiness.
All actors are expected attend rehearsals during the final two weeks of production and performances unless stated on your audition form (and therefore taken into account with your role) or due to an emergency. These rehearsals may run late, so please communicate with your parents about these late nights.
We will have designated set build days that actors are required to attend. If these days are on a weekend, we will be more lenient, but we hope to schedule set build days during our regular rehearsal schedule to make it easy to attend.
Theater is fun, but it is an EXTRAcurricular. Your performance in school is still the top priority for the drama program. Actors who are falling behind may be required to sit out of rehearsal to complete homework or be dismissed from the production at any time if it is inhibiting their grades.
Any violation of these behavioral policies may result in removal from the production.
