You are here: Home > Fire Sticks > Splash Player
You are here by referral only. Not sure what to do or where to go? Contact the person who referred you, or reread the email we sent you.
Step 1: Get Ready
Turn on your TV and your Fire Stick or Cube. Make sure it is connected to the internet. You should see the Fire TV home screen.
Step 2: Update Your Fire Stick First
This is a must. A brand-new Fire Stick is often missing updates, and they can get in the way later.
On the home screen, go to the menu at the top left.
Move down the left side and select Settings (gear icon).
Select My Fire TV, then About.
Select Check for Updates (or Install Update). If an update is found, let it download and install. Your Fire Stick may restart.
Go back and check again. On a new Fire Stick you may need to do this up to three times, until it says it is up to date.
Step 3: Turn On Developer Options (The 7-Click Tweak)
This is a one-time setting. It unlocks a hidden menu we need.
Go back to Settings, then My Fire TV, then About.
Highlight the top line, your Fire TV name (for example "Fire TV Stick 4K Max").
Press SELECT 7 times fast on your remote. A message will say you are now a developer.
Press BACK once. You are now in My Fire TV.
You will now see Developer Options in the list. It was hidden before the 7 clicks.
Step 4: Check the Permission Setting
Select Developer Options.
Select Install Unknown Apps.
It will say no applications are installed. That is normal. We have not installed Downloader yet.
This is the permission list. Later, Downloader will show up here, and it needs permission to install Splash Player. Right now we are just making sure this setting is unlocked and ready.
Click OK, then press BACK several times to return to the home screen.
Step 5: Install the Downloader App
Downloader is a free app manager. It downloads and installs apps that aren't in the Amazon store. It isn't on a Fire Stick when you buy it, but Amazon allows it in its own app store.
On the home screen, select Search (the magnifying glass).
Use the letters to spell Downloader.
Be careful: there are copycat apps. Only choose Downloader by AFTVnews (orange logo).
Select it and click Get or Download to install it.
Step 6: Enter the Code and Download Splash Player
Open the Downloader app.
Click into the URL/Code box in the center of the screen.
Type in the code: 2175936
Click GO. Wait a few seconds for the file to download, then click INSTALL.
A window will pop up. It says, for your security, your TV is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source. Don't worry, this is expected.
Click Settings in that window.
Find Downloader in the list and turn it ON.
Press BACK once. You will be right back at the INSTALL button.
Click INSTALL again, just like the first time. This time it will finish.
Step 7: Open Splash Player
When the install finishes, click OPEN. You will see the login screen on your TV.
You are at the login screen. Great job, stop here. Do not type anything yet.
Press the Home button on your remote to leave the app.
Go back to the email you have with us and tell us you are at the login screen.
Wait for our reply. It has your next steps.
Got here before emailing us? That is fine. Go back to the person who referred you. They will tell you to email us first.
