Beehive Science and Technology Academy
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national organization of students engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Competitions are categorized by careers in Architecture and Construction Technology, Communications Technology, Computer Science and Information Technology, Leadership, Manufacturing and Transportation Technology, STEM (General), STEM and the Arts, and Technology and Research.
At Beehive S&T Academy, our mission is for " students of diverse cultures to achieve academic excellence and personal skills in a challenging and innovative STEM environment to become contributing global citizens." Our mission falls hand in hand with TSA, which allows our students to take their learned skills from school and apply them to future careers.
At Beehive Academy, our goal is to prepare our students to be successful, global citizens that can contribute to our growing and evolving world. In the classroom, we can teach them the skills to make this happen. However, TSA allows them to begin applying those same skills to real-life scenarios. This application gives students the "Why" behind their learning.
Our main objective is to develop students who possess critical thinking skills, mathematical reasoning, and complex problem-solving abilities, and who will be equipped for college and careers in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Our team of students are driven, hardworking kids who are hungry to learn. Our students range from sixth grade to seniors and work hard to gain knowledge regarding their chosen categories and strive to excel. To see specific projects and examples, check out the sub-pages found at the top of the home page!
Last year 13 of our students earned first place in their categories, and many earned multiple gold medals. It's fantastic! This means they qualified to have the special opportunity to compete against other students from around the country in Florida. This year our team has grown, and we believe that we will be sending even more students. We are looking for sponsors and individuals who are interested in supporting our driven, hardworking students. If you are interested in helping our team, please reach out to Mrs. Welsh, and Dr. P, our TSA advisors using the emails below. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
