From the very beginning, first-generation radar was a turning point in the strategic aerial warfare of World War II, showing the potency of industry, academia, and international governments collaborating on projects.

Post-war, radar technology continues to develop and contribute to modern affairs, being one of the technological global connections that were byproducts of the war.

Within its many purposes, radar will only continue to be used in the modern world to enable everything from research to international security.

“You had an evolution of radar, you had an evolution of command and control...and so you had all of these radars along the coastal areas... we did [this] for years and years...it was a tremendous mission.”
