For Remote Learners

Welcome!

Hello, remote learners! While you are learning from home this year, the library is still available to you. You can use the library catalog to place books on hold, to read ebooks, and to listen to audiobooks. We will have a contact-less pick up procedure for books you request. You can use our digital resources to research and read. If you have any questions at all, please email Mrs. Baldi at baldia@sau25.net or call 603-622-0431 x24214.

Library Lessons

Library lessons are hosted in Seesaw. All remote students will get a library lesson every other week.

Students have the option of joining a Google Meet during their remote Library lesson week. Details will be in Seesaw.

Destiny Discover is our library catalog. Students use it to search for books, put books on hold, check their accounts, and access ebooks and audiobooks. Students will need to be logged in to read ebooks and listen to audiobooks.

If students are already logged in to their Chromebooks, they should click "Log in" and then "Sign in with Google."

If students are not logged in to a Chromebook, students should click "Log In" and then user their 99 number (the same as their lunch accounts) and their Chromebook password.

Ebooks can be found in the "Interactive ebooks" and "ebooks" ribbons. Audiobooks can be found in the "Audiobooks" ribbon. Click on the image of the book, then click "Open" to start reading.

Contact-less Book Pickup

Remote students can borrow books from the PWS Library. To request up to six books, please follow all of the steps below:

1) Log in to the catalog and place books on hold. See the flyer "Simple Steps To Putting Books On Hold" or the video tutorial below.

2) Fill out the PWS Library Book Request Form to let us know how we should contact you when your books are ready. Please do not come to school to pick up your books until we have called or emailed you.

3) Once you have heard from us by phone or email, come to PWS on Fridays. Enter the front door. You will find the bookshelf in the entry way. (You will not need to be buzzed into the school). Take the books that are checked out to you. Return any books on the bottom shelf.

The borrowing period for the books is two weeks.

If you would prefer to request books by phone, please call us at 603-622-0431 x24266 and we will assist you.
