Sora, the student reading app

Borrowing free ebooks and audiobooks just got easier for PWS students and staff. PWS has joined the NH Shared Digital Collection, which gives us access to thousands of ebooks audiobooks, and magazines.

Get started by downloading the Sora app on any device or by visiting soraapp.com.

Students and staff use their school Google accounts to sign into Sora. Please see the Slideshow below for instructions on logging in.

FAQs about Sora

1) What is the borrowing period?

All books are checked out for 2 weeks and will automatically return to Sora when the borrowing period is up.

2) How many books can I check out?

Everyone can check out a total of 4 books at one time. If you have 4 books out, you'll have to return one in order to borrow more. You can check out unlimited magazines.

3) How many holds can I place?

You can place a total of 4 holds at one time.

4) How will I know when my hold is ready?

You can set your Notifications to alert you when a hold is ready.

5) Can I use Sora on something other than my Chromebook?

You can download the Sora app to a phone or tablet. You can read your ebooks on a Kindle. You'll just need to log in with your school Google account.

6) Can elementary students see books for young adults and adults?

No, students are limited to the juvenile collection of books in the NH Shared Digital Collection. Staff can see books in the juvenile, young adult, and adult collections.
