The Bedford School District understands that artificial intelligence (AI) has capabilities that can enhance instruction for teachers and learning for students, we also recognize that AI can be used in ways that may be counterproductive to the BSD mission and values. AI is a tool that our students will be exposed to and use throughout their lives. The effective use of AI must work with each student’s and employee’s human intelligence (HI) as a complement to HI, not a substitute. This document is written to help guide the District’s staff and students in the use of artificial intelligence as a constructive tool to enhance critical thinking and academic performance.
