Don't type a sentence into a search bar, use keywords.

"human rights violations" (using quotation marks searches for the terms as a phrase rather than each word separately)
crimes against humanity
war crimes
Using AI to help you search:
Use a prompt to help you generate a list of keyword search terms about a topic. For example: "Create a list of keyword search terms about the Rwandan Genocide that can be used to research in a database"
Use these terms in a database.
Take it one step further with your AI chat and say "add boolean operators" these are great for a Google search.
Always remember if you're using AI for research content the information might be incorrect and/or biased. It's up to YOU to vet the information for accuracy.
