Mrs. Hatcher

5th Grade

About your teacher...

Hello! I am Mrs. Hatcher!

I will be teaching you math and science this school year. I have been teaching for 8 years. This is my third year teaching 5th grade at Bedford Elementary School. I have also taught kindergarten and second grade.

I live in Moneta with my husband, our daughter, and our dog. I have lived in Bedford County my entire life. I attended Bedford Elementary School as a student and I graduated from Liberty High School. I studied elementary and special education at Liberty University and graduated in 2013. This past summer I began working on a Master's Degree with Liberty University also.

I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I cannot wait to watch you learn and grow throughout the school year!

About your classroom...

Our classroom is a place of learning, fun, and excitement! While in our classroom you will be learning math and science. You will also learn various life skills and social skills as we work and learn together.

As your teacher, it is important to me that you feel welcome and comfortable in class. When our class works together, learning will always be best! For us to have a successful year together I have the following expectations of all of my students:

  • Respect others! This includes your teachers, other adults in the building, your classmates, the school, and others' belongings. Respect includes doing what is right, being honest, following directions, listening to others, and being kind.

  • Always do your best work. I will do my best to help you in every way possible, but you are ultimately responsible for your work and your grade!
