My name is Kari Cox. I am excited to be a part of the amazing team at Forest Middle School as the part time reading specialist serving 4th and 5th grades. I am at FMS on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday full days. I provide supplementary reading instruction who need support in reading and writing. These services are in addition to what their teacher provides within the classroom. I work closely with the teachers to promote growth in these literacy areas.

All students receive the Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS) three times a year. Through this assessment, we are able to identify the students' strengths and weaknesses.
