My name is Christina Ball. I have been teaching for twelve years. I taught for eight years in Atlanta, Georgia and this will be my fourth year teaching at Otter River Elementary School. I am excited for another great year! I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an endoresment in Mathematics, and a Masters in Curriculum of Education.
I was born and raised in Georgia, but moved to Virginia four years ago to be closer to my sister, her husband, and their four children. I absolutely love this area, and feel blessed that I have the opportunity to teach in such a beautiful place.
I am so excited to be planning my wedding with my fiancé, Bryan. He is my best friend, has the most loving and kindest heart, and makes me laugh everyday. We have two fur babies. A Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Ryker, and a Black Labrador Pitt mix named Burt. A few things I love doing on my weekends are spending time with my niece and nephews, shopping, traveling, cooking out, and being with friends. During football season I will be rooting on my University of Georgia Bulldogs! There is nothing better than perfect weather, comfy blankets, wearing hoodies, colorful leaves, gathering with friends, and of course...FOOTBALL!
I strive to develop life-long learners, give students the skills they need to communicate effectively, and help students build their confidence to express themselves. Most importantly, I BELIEVE TEACHERS WHO LOVE TEACHING, TEACH STUDENTS TO LOVE LEARNING!
