BEC-TV Banquet

IMPORTANT! New event date!

Due to many families not being able to attend, we have moved the date of the Banquet to Friday, July 13th. Of those who RSVP'd "yes", only one could not make the revised date, while a score of people who would have missed the original date CAN do July 13th. Sorry - Summer Scheduling is TOUGH!

Please RSVP for this new date with the New Form. Remember, no response means you didn't see this information. It is not a no. A response that says "no" is a no. Of course, if you can come please respond with a "yes"! RSVP deadline is Monday, July 9th, but PLEASE help us plan and RSVP right away.

WHAT

You are invited to the First Ever BEC-TV Year End Banquet.

As we wrap the 2017-18 production year, we want to take some time to celebrate a year of super productions made by even-more-super student techs!

It may seem a bit late in the spring for a banquet, but remember, our “season” ended only a couple days ago with our great performance at Target Field producing the State Baseball Tourney.

Along with a swell meal, we'll be hearing and telling stories from our season, seeing some pics and video of ya'll in action, presenting awards, and looking forward to what's new for next season.

WHEN/WHERE

REVISED DATE: Friday, July 13th at 6 pm (6pm: Gather, 6:30'ish: Dinner, 7'ish: Program, 8:30'ish: Wrap up)

We’ll be in the Rehearsal Hall at Bloomington Civic Plaza 1800 W. Old Shakopee Rd

Best bet is to park on the east side of the building.

COST

We're asking $15/person to cover our expenses. (One of the very few times BEC asks money from you)

If this is a hardship for your family, please contact Tom (tom@bectv.org) and we'll work something out, OK?

WHO

We’d love to have every student who helped with productions this year, and would be tickled pink if you brought your parents (and hey, your lovin’ siblings too, if you want. Grandpa? Sure. Puppy? Well gee, it WOULD be fun, but that might be going too far. Although our new mascot DaisyPup MAY make a guest appearance!)

If you weren’t active this year but still call BEC-TV “Home”, you are still very welcome.

RSVP

We’ve got this invite going out to both our student techs and to their parents.

SiblingTechs should each submit a form, but only one needs to list parents, etc. coming.

Space is limited, so RSVP soon, OK?

As always, not responding does NOT mean “No”. It means you didn’t see this invitation.

If we don’t hear back from you we’ll get worried that something has happened to you, like getting kidnapped by a herd of rabid bunnies (Rabid Rabbits?) and we’ll launch a mission to rescue you from their evil (but oh-so-cute) clutches.

Waiting for your family’s responses before you submit the form? We know the struggle. Please shoot us a message with a “Hey, I’m coming! I’ll get that RSVP form to ya as soon as I know about my family” to keep things rolling smooth, on our end as well as yours.

So please. Save us the trouble and just RSVP, OK?

TECH CHOICE Award

Another reason to RSVP is that’s the only way to get to vote for the TECH CHOICE AWARD.

This is your chance to nominate the 3 most memorable, most amazing, most helpful Student Techs you can remember from this year. (And, yes, you can vote for yourself if you think you deserve it!)

You can vote whether you’re coming or not - But ya gotta RSVP!

All votes submitted with the RSVP for the June date (old) will be discarded, so be sure to vote again when you RSVP for for July 13.

Pictures/Videos

We’ve got some photos of events, but golly, we’re usually too busy shooting the event to shoot each other! Techs (Moms, Dads, Sibs…) - Check out your phones and cams, your Instagram and Facebook feeds... If you’ve got any stills or videos of yourself or others doing the BEC Thing, could you please share ‘em with us? Best bet is to pop 'em on to Google Drive and share to bectv@bectv.org , or email to the same address. (If these options don't fly for you and you've got another swell idea, let us know!)

Stories

As famed BEC producer Reed Erickson would often tell the crew, “We’re Tellin’ a Story Here Folks!”

After a season a telling others’ stories on video, we want to hear YOUR stories!

TECHS- What’s a favorite thing that happened this year? Why do you choose to hang at BEC?

Who has mentored you, challenged you, made you laugh?

PARENTS - Why do you feel BEC-TV is a great opportunity for your kids? What stories do YOU have from your unique vantage point?

Whether you're coming or not, you can add YOUR story to your RSVP. You can also email them to Tom@bectv.org

UPDATE: If you submitted a story with your RSVP for June 29, you do NOT need to to resubmit that story with your July 13 RSVP. Thanks!

And Hey... DON'T FORGET TO RSVP!
