Make your own sketchbook using lots of different kinds of paper. There are lots of tutorials online that show different ways of doing this, but this one works well.
Challenge yourself to draw as much as possible from observation. Buy a small sketchbook and try to make a drawing
/sketch/painting/collage every day for two weeks. This could be a quick 5 minute study to one hour. Show your art teacher your art work once you have finished!
Join a life drawing class and use the drawings to include in your portfolio.
