Hi, I'm Becca!

Becca Blackmore is the co-author of the musicals BRASSQUATCH: The Fall Creek Brass Band Musical, Quiz Bowl (NYMF '14 Best New Musical), Snow Way Out, The Peculiar Tale of the Prince of Bohemia and the Society of Desperate Victorians (Goodspeed Opera '19 Festival of New Musicals), and Hatter and the author of the plays The Thomas Hardy Project (Westchester Collaborative Theater, AACT NewPlayFest), Peaceful Warrior, President Mom (with Dan Marshall), Bedtime (Blank Theater), and Dead Behind the Eyes or The Ingenue Play (Vintage Theater). President Mom won the Ronald M. Ruble New Play prize and a Tam & Young Arts Chair Visiting Artist Residency in Honolulu. Her pilot Republic of California won the Vancouver Women in Film and Television pilot competition, and her pilot Happy Medium won the Cinequest Teleplay Competition. She holds a BFA and an MFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
