We can always use consumable materials for students to use for building, creating, as well as products for things such as paper for our Cricut and play-dough for our squishy circuits.
Check out what our current needs are:
We have a wish list on Amazon!
These items do not need to come from amazon, or even be new!!
We can use your help!
At home helpers: such as cutting cardboard into shapes for students to build with
In class Helpers: Helping students with projects during technology or makerspace
Workforce partnership: We can use help with grants, sponsorships and even presentations from companies in our community!
We work in all areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math (S.T.E.A.M) with a focus on helping inspire the interests of students and explore the world of technology through a hands-on approach. Kids will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies. Such as: robotics, 3d printing, coding, circuits, film making, card making, scrapbooking, Cricut machine, journalism, engineering, the amazing list of opportunities goes on and on!
The challenge we face is that a lot of these incredible opportunities require consumable materials. In my class I want to focus on adaptability and being mindful about resources, helping teach students that we can make incredible things out of recycled materials, maximizing our resources and limiting waste.
With that in mind I want to ask for your support, did you do an art project and have left over materials? Do you have something in your garage collecting dust and taking up space that could help enhance the learning experience for students? Do you have a skill you want to share and help teach some kids? We need your help!
Please see below on ways that you can support the entire Scholls Heights Student body!
If there are any things you are interested in donating to our class, helping with, or any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at brianna_cristea@beaverton.k12.or.us
We greatly appreciate the support of our incredible community, thank you!!
