Summer Reading Program - Beaverton City Library

All kids from birth to grade five can read 15 hours of to be a part of the Beaverton City Library's Kids Summer Reading program to read and earn a free book!

  • Participate: Beginning June 1, 2020 you can Print a reading log or make your own. Starting this summer there is no need to sign up!
  • Read, Listen, Learn: Read or be read to for 15 hours, participate in library events, and try the activities on your reading log! Keep track of what you do by coloring in the shapes in your Reading Log for every 30 minutes you spend reading, listening, or doing a family activity.
  • Visit to the library: Bring your completed Reading Log to the library to collect your free book! Stay tuned for how we will get your book to you safely.


Oregon Zoo is posting videos to meet the animals and care staff. There are also at-home ideas to learn about these animals and how to help them. The activities, developed by award-winning education team, are aimed at children ages K–5 (but animal lovers of all ages can join the fun!)
