Hello! My name is Kelly Hefty and I am the Choir Director at Beaverton High School.  I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a focus in choral curriculum and vocal pedagogy. Here at Beaverton, I teach Mixed Choir, Concert Choir, Modified Choir, Musical Theatre, and Instrumental Music Studio. I began teaching in 2020 following my graduation from the University of Oregon.

My love for choir started with my high school choir director, Mrs. Gvakharia. She used music as a vehicle for teaching kindness, acceptance, and cultural awareness, and ultimately inspired me to pursue music. I also hope to inspire students to become life-long musicians and supporters of the performing arts. 

I love working at Beaverton and look forward to further developing our lovely choir program!
